Pt. Rajendra Gangani

 

 Born in the family of hereditary dancers which has been serving the art of kathak dance for centuries together, Rajendra Gangani is the torch bearer of the Jaipur School of Kathak. Rajendra received his training from his father, the great maestro Pt.Kundanlal Gangani. His dance has the excellent blend of manly grace and deilcacy so rare in a male dancer. Rajendra has toured extensively in India and abroad for rendering recitals and lecture demonstrations. In India, Rajendra has presented his solo performances at most of the  prestigious dance festivals like Chidambaram Natyanjali Festival, Konark Festival, Kathak Mahotsava, Haridas Sangeet Sammelan etc. Rajendra has been honoured with many prestigious awards like the title of 'Sangeet Raj' and Shastriya Nritya Shiromani by Shakuntalam Society, Udaipur and Pandit by Karnataka Sangeet Natak Academy. He has recently won the sangeet Natak Academy award for the year 2002. Rajendra is a standing member of Rajasthan Sangeet Natak  Academy.

Smt Geeta Chandran

 

  A Star performer and celebrity-artist amongst today's generation between the pristine classical style of Bharatnatyam and more contemporary dance aesthetic which reflects societal concerns. Trained by a galaxy of eminent gurus, Geeta has been able to imprint their combined legacy with her own dance persona. She has performed in many major dance festivals and is the recipient of several awards including the Natya Ratna, Shringar Mani, Media India Award, Indira Priyadarshini Award , Natya Ilavarasi, Green Ambassador award, Bharat Nirman, Andey Udhepani Pillai Award.

Founder President of Natya- Vriksha, where she teaches Bharatnatyam. Geeta has also endeavoured to create new spaces for the classical dancers of today. Geeta Chandran has also been nominated for recognition in the Ninth edition of the International Who's Who of  Professional and Business Woman, USA.

Pt.Bholanath Mishra

 

 An eminent vocalist of the Benaras Gharana. He received his training in Vocal Music from his father and noted Guru Pt. Rakhal Mishra. A research scholar for ITC Kolkata and an 'A'  grade artist of All India Radio & Television. Pandit Bholanath Mishra has performed extensively in various prestigious festivals in the country like the Khajuraho Festival, Kumar Gandharv Sangeet Sammelan, Hari Ballav Festival, Jullandhar, Sankat Mochan Conference- Benaras etc. He is an acclaimed participant artist in SPIC- MACAY.

Shri Biswajit Sarkar

 

 Born in the family with strong musical traditions, Biswajit Sarkar was initiated into the world of music during his educational career. He is Post-Graduate in Sitar form Vishwabharati University - Shantiniketan. Biswajit received his training under the able tutelage of great maestro Pandit Indranil Bhattacharya. Pandit Indranil Bhattacharya is one of the finest exponents of "Seniya Maihar Gharana" and a desciple of Sur Sadhak Baba Allaudin Khan Sahib. Biswajit learnt to blend the style of Dhrupad Gayaki(Vocal) and Tantrakari ( Instrumental) and then developed a musical personality in a most individual way. He is an 'A' Grade artist of the All India Radio & Television.
